Our children are just like any other children – full of fun and mischief! However, even at an early age they are facing some very big hurdles.
- Poverty – they come from very disadvantaged homes.
- Loneliness – many are away from family and friends and have few if any visitors.
- Insecurity – few have the security of a stable loving home with Mum and Dad. Some are totally abandoned.
- Hopelessness – most have not heard the Good News that God loves them and Jesus died to give them a life.
And on top of all that, they are sick.
- HIV/AIDS – over 80% of them are HIV+.
- TB – Many have TB and some have Drug Resistant TB
- Normally they are not in hospital to be treated for HIV/AIDS and TB, but something else – burns, infections, broken bones etc.
Some of their stories can be found below.
